Our Story

When the Pirate Met the Mermaid

Welcome to our slice of paradise! We are Elizabeth and John Hodges, and for the past few years, we’ve been proudly operating Rum John, bringing our love for the coastal lifestyle, good drinks, and bold flavors to life.

Living right here in beautiful Gulf Harbors, Florida, the water isn’t just something we look at—it’s exactly how we live. Whether we're out on the boat, hanging at the docks, or enjoying the salt air, we are always looking for ways to celebrate the coastal culture we love so much.

In April 2026, an incredible opportunity came knocking on our hull. We officially brought Nauti Livin' Clothing and Accessories into the RumJohn family!

For a long time, we’ve been obsessed with the high-quality, ultra-comfortable SPF performance gear that Nauti Livin' is famous for. By merging these two brands together, we’ve finally united the ultimate local legends: Our Pirate and Our Mermaid.

Today, we are your one-stop shop for high-performance sun protection, premium apparel, and the ultimate backyard island flavors.
